Louie Fermor & Rainbow Elders

May 10, 2024 - 8pm-1am at Sunalta Community Association

As a part of the Artist as Changemaker program, Louie has been working with members of the Rainbow Elders to explore how art can create intergenerational connection, save lives, and generate collective liberation. Louie has been painting portraits, but for the residency’s end showcase, they’re going to have a big party and paint a one-night collective portrait of joy and liberation with YOU!

Join us all under twinkly lights and disco balls, and dance to the sounds of ’70s groove and disco while we throwback to Calgary’s first gay bar: Club Carousel.

Stephanie Banszky & City of Calgary - Village Square Community Hub.

May 16, 2024 - 6pm-7:30pm at Village Square Leisure Centre

Join the Village Square Fabric Art group and Artist as Changemaker Resident, Stephanie Banszky, on May 16 for the showcase of their piece titled "Tree of Life and Community." Share your own stories of connection and disconnection that we can add to our digital quilt!
