The biggest question driving the work:
The biggest question driving my work right now is both personal and professional: “How do I provide the best support with a health viewpoint?”
Working with AHS Design Lab our team is very agile and had adapted early on working virtually. Right now, I’m supporting different AHS teams that are having a hard time adjusting and shifting from the traditional office to online work environment. For the most part, people are just not comfortable being behind screens, and they're using platforms such as Zoom for the first time. At AHS, the majority of the people making this transition are older. My job is to answer technical questions, and provide moral support to make people feel more comfortable with the technology.
As a certified yoga instructor, I try to apply and integrate energy and healing concepts with the work I do at AHS by being present and in-tune to the needs of those I am supporting. I’m also trying to be as available as I can to friends, family, and any one, who is trying to accept energy healing and yoga as support.
Remembering the Studio:
What excites me most about the Studio is how warm and welcoming the people are. The space is so open, you never know who you’re going to run into and talk to; and you don’t have to worry about having a formal introduction, everything just flows. The setting and the vibe is great.
Although we can’t be at the Studio right now, how we have adapted by staying in touch on Slack has been wonderful to keep everyone connected. It wasn’t just about coming to the studio, it was about building community.
Points of Inspiration:
Books are where I get my inspiration. The range of topics I read vary from yoga, reiki, energy healing to design thinking, health and wellness. What I’m reading right now: Wheels of Life by Anodea Judith. This book puts into terms ideas I can use regularly in daily life.
